Other than UCLA last year and UO today, OU hasn't lost a game west of the rockies in a long time. Of course, they don't play there much, but even so. They did alright in the holiday bowl last year and the rose a couple of years back.

As for today's game, the refs blew the call on the onside kick twice. First, OU recovered, not Oregon, as the replay definitively shows. And second, UO touched it first, and before the ten yard mark, so it should have been an illegal touch. But OU's defense was horrible in the last couple of minutes, no doubt about that. And big props to the ducks for not giving up, both on offense and on defense when OU had the ball inside the ten up by ten.
