Our Baby's At The Vet Again!
Advertisements [?]

Chamisa is staying overnite at the vet's office for observation. She seems perfectly healthy, bright eyes, not dehydrated, playful, but she seems to be straining to urinate, passing only a tiny amount (few drops) and getting into the box frequently (every 6 to 10 minutes).

She doesn't seem to be in ANY pain or discomfort, her abdomen's not swollen or tense, and she seems to be doing great, except for this one problem! Amyway, rather than "wait and see" we took her in to be vet. They are going to keep her overnite, do an X-ray and a urinalysis, a blood panel and find out what is going on.

Poor little kitty! We've been VERY careful to see to it she was not in contact with any harmful things, her box is cleaned daily and changed every other day. Her food dishes are washed three times a day (after each feeding) and she gets fresh bottled water instead of plain tapwater. She's been in contact with NO other animals since we got her.

Keep our baby kitty in your thoughts, DUers... she's such a sweet little cat... and so patient and gentle. I hope to give you good news tomorrow when we call the doctor.

Already missing her fuzzy presence.
