This is just excuse making and horse shit.
I have been thinking - I have over the course of many, many years known 3 Neiman Fellows. Note: Neiman Fellows are "leading" journalists who receive an appointment to do graduate work at Harvard. I would have to describe each of them as utterly lacking in curiosity. None of them were particularly studious and their first impression remained their last. And, socially they were all pathetic and inept. No wonder the state of the media is so fucked.
