Had he voted NO, the deal would be over and Bolton out.

His excuse that he would let the entire Senate decide is pure cover your ass bullshit. The purpose of committees is to weed out bad ideas BEFORE they get to the entire Senate and take up time. If everyone followed Voinovich's reasoning, there would be no need for committees at all. I'm surprised the Democrats didn't make that point.

He's a right wing toad that wants political cover. He'll say he voted against Bolton even though he now knows Bolton will likely be approved.
