When you make a statement like "What the hell is it with Texas?" you're dealing in the same kind of stereotyping and snap judgment that leads others to categorize the entire population of Texas---even the several hundred thousand of us who are loyal Democrats---as a bunch of brain-dead, gun-toting, right-wing, death penalty junkies. I see such sentiments way too often here at DU, where I would hope people would know better. I'm no happier with the current occupant of the White House than you are. Just keep in mind that a lot of us don't consider him to be a real Texan.
