Of all things historic, this PNAC business is going to be up there.

You see, this shitcan Iraq war is a major political catastrophe. The facade of success is finally starting to explode. Generals and War College professors are decrying the ineptitude.

This is as bad as Vietnam, and probably worse because this will embolden our enemies (in a way Vietnam didn't).

But this war did not start with Bush. It was not originally his war. This is the direct cause of the PNAC think tank and their influence on the puppet POTUS many years after the plans were hatched.

Years down the road, scholars will look back and say "how the hell did this get started?" and such a question will be answered by reading the original papers of PNAC dating back to the mid and late 90's. This is what warmongering really looks like.

I'm not going to let this thread die even if it's not "Political Hay" for John Kerry.

This is what matters. People on DU really need to read these papers as you can see the manipulation that started back then has caused all the trouble we see now while helping us lose our fight against terrorists who want to bait us into war with the Islamic world.

Osama Bin Laden, if he is alive, is winning because of the mis-direciton started by the undersigners of PNAC and the Bush administration.

I hope Kerry gets elected and gets us the fuck out of Iraq as soon as possible. There is nothing to be gained by being there, only more death. There is no political solution in sight, so no amount of bullets or bombs will "Democratize" the Middle East.

I hope we shitcan this Iraq war and shitcan all of PNAC's policies. If Bush wins the election, PNAC policy will be U.S. Foreign policy. That's a notion that started w/ Wes Clark but with my spin on it. This will be just the beginning of a very long dark period of American history.
