 (Sorry, couldn't resist a bit of humor.) Actually, the kind of man you describe is a "chickenhawk". He's all for the war, but has better things to do. The guy you talked to might not be a hopeless case. When he wakes up this morning (hangover & all), he might wonder about a few things. He claimed that he was just a working man who didn't know much about politics. Most of the Americans serving in Iraq aren't sophisticated political thinkers--or weren't when they enlisted. They wanted to serve their country & improve their own prospects. |
