There should be no corporations in the voting process.

The state should print plain paper ballots, which voters deposit into a transparent ballot box.

The voters should be allowed to watch the ballot box through the end of voting, and through the end of a handcount.

Even if the handcount takes all night, that is a fraction of the time it takes to build electronic voting machines, test voting machines, ship voting machines, train people on voting machines, etc.
