In fact an interesting story about faux news is I once came home from school, I am a teacher, to find my wife at home, she is a teacher in a different district which was off that day, watching faux news. She excitedly told me that there had been another school shooting. She had just seen it announced on the news. I calmly asked her where she had heard it, I listen to NPR in the car and had heard nothing so I was skeptical. She told me faux news so I told her to check the other news stations before she believed it since faux makes things up on slow news days. She checked the other stations and of course there had been no shooting and then watched faux for the next hour which never repeated the story or issued a retraction.
