The difference as I see it is that with VP Bush there was an attributable source for the rumor. In this instance there is only the rumor. Furthermore, we don't know yet that the mainstream won't cover it, they are camped out at the "girlfriend's" parent's house.

Also, remember Gary Hart? But how much coverage did Newt's despicable behavior get.

There is no bias.
