Question for Catholic DUers re: church policies on gays, contraception [View All]

I have a question about how Catholic DUers reconcile some Democratic positions with some of the official positions of the Catholic Church. Of course there are some areas where Democratic and Catholic ideals mesh perfectly: opposition to colonialism, oppression, and unjust war; support for justice for the poor and disadvantaged. But the church also have official positions that homosexual behavior is immoral, as are contraception (even for married people), and pre-marital sex. I'd love to get some insight into how you view these issues.
