I'm talking about realizing that your leisure activities aren't a holy and historically significant sacrament. It's a matter of maintaining the proper perspective, which the American public evidently does not. Riot over sporting events, yawn when someone talks about civil liberties. That's not healthy.

I watch the Olympics myself, but I wouldn't tell someone else to stop talking during a broadcast or refuse to take phone calls or turn down a social invitation or especially riot over the results.
