There aren't many fundie nuts here. The vast majority of DUers are logical thinkers and reasonable people.

The fact is, there are people who truly believe this stuff. We can't ignore it. By discussing it here, we can point out the inconsistencies, the obvious manipulation and the overall silliness of the matter. Hopefully, when we are confronted with people in our lives who are nervous about all this, we can use the information and arguments we talk about and calm them down to a point of rationality which will prevent them from becoming fundie nuts. The current fundie nuts already know all this crap, so we're not changing their minds one way or the other. JMHO
