Let the next pope be named Peter. That's still a self-fulfilling prophecy as you postulated. Add the imprisonment of Peter and the destruction of Rome and the Vatican during Peter's time. Now THAT will be a prophecy fulfilled! If Peter has a peaceful reign and nothing happens to Rome, there will be no more for even the Malachy followers to hold onto...gone the way of Nostradamus.
