Thanks for sharing -- a good read. Sorry, I don't have any good T-day story to share. I spent it with a bunch of democrats/liberals and we bashed Bush for an hour or so before turning to other subjects.

A few Thanksgivings ago, my sister (old time liberal/socialist) and niece's husband (capitalist gun-owner who I'll call Fred) got into it over Fred joining the NRA in order to get a discount on ammunition. My sister's jaw dropped in disbelief that a family member would join the NRA.

Fred justified it because it made monetary sense (he's completely driven by money), not because of any political implications. She replied, "Would you buy sheets from the Klu Klux Klan just because they were on sale?" Fred replied, "No, because they'd have holes in them."
