Re. the Cheney-Halliburton email revelation in Time magazine, a Democratic senator Tuesday called for a congressional investigation into whether Vice President Dick Cheney had a role in awarding a no-bid contract in Iraq to his old company, the oil-services giant Halliburton.

*****************************

"This is a politicizing of Halliburton, which is a shame," said Mary Matalin, a former Cheney aide now working as a senior Bush-Cheney campaign adviser.

"Halliburton itself has lost close to three dozen workers over there in Iraq," Matalin told NBC's Today show. "I mean, just let it go."

"Politicization of Halliburton"?? WTF does that mean? The moment elected Democrats start asking questions, it called politicizing?

So, now they are saying that we are supposed to feel bad for this conglomerate that was built to profit from war and strife, because they lost their own people in a war zone? Are these people on crack?

How about asking if they 'just let it go' when two consenting adults had sex and were embarrassed to admit to it? I would think that it's less revolting than awarding a tax-payer funded $7 billion no-bid contract to the company whose former CEO just happens to be the current VP of the United States.

I'm waiting for Inhoffe to come out and declare: "I'm simply outraged by the lack of outrage".

 :puke:
