We got 7 more today, including Susan Davis, a Republican from the San Diego area.

Rep. Jose E. Serrano (NY-16) - Dem
Rep. Susan A. Davis (CA-53) - Dem
Rep. Jay Inslee (WA-1) - Dem
Rep. Gary L. Ackerman (NY-5) - Dem
Rep. Joseph Crowley (NY-7) - Dem
Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-1) - Dem
Rep. Bobby Rush (IL-1) - Dem

I spoke to Holt's office on Monday and they told me that 125 was the magic number. We had already heard this from a Republican, and it was confirmed by Holt's staff. With 125 public cosponsors, there will be that many more silently waiting to vote the bill up. We're there!

People! Please, we need a HUGE PUSH to get S1980 moved through fast.

If you are in New York, go see Clinton and beg her to withdraw her bill. Bay Area folks, please go see Boxer and ask the same. Her bill is goodness, but aspects cannot be implemented by November, and we are not willing to fight for it like we will for S1980. http://www.verifiedvoting.org/senate_bill_comparison.asp

And everyone else, PLEASE call your Senators. Talk to their staff. Go have meetings. Fax them letters (e-mail is probably dumped.) Point to BlackBoxVoting.org and VerifiedVoting.org. Show them all the problems from recent elections. Tell them we need a smooth election in November, not another mess like last time.

Help us - let's get this done, we still have time!

on edit, had Susan Davis listed as a Republican. My mistake.
