15. Actually more like 8-10K years of "civilization," wherein the definition is sedentary, agriculture
as base of food stuffs, and literacy, a stratified society, etc. Toss in writing and we're looking back about 8 to 10 thousand years, after 15 or so as "just Cro-Magnon". . . but damn, they made some fantastic paintings, without a written language, now didn't they?
