LINCOLN — A new poll sponsored by a group opposing the Keystone XL crude-oil pipeline indicated that 63 percent of those surveyed were against or leaned against the controversial project.

The poll, commissioned by BOLD Nebraska and released Monday, also indicated how wide-open the 2012 race is for U.S. Senate.

Incumbent Sen. Ben Nelson’s favorable rating was 46 percent.

Among registered Republicans, 46 percent of those responding said they were undecided about which candidate they would support in the spring 2012 primary election.
