7. Syria is more dicey than Libya as there is a Russian military base in Syria.
Anyone else recall Georgia and South Ossetia and the Russians?
The USA and Israel armed and trained Georgia and their president was Georgian but USA educated and with close political ties to the GOP and neoliberals.
The Russians were not surprised and kicked ass against Georgia protecting ethnic Russians and Georgia also lost other territory as well as being humiliated.
Russia (and probably China) are likely to veto actions or sanctions against Syria.
