49. I am only going to comment about this from a very rural America perspective
my electric service is "iffy" at best

This week, we have had 4 "blackouts."

That means that everyone within a 30 mile radius has lost power and waited for - oh - however long - until, the power came back on.

How does that feel, you ask?

Well, in the middle of the day - when attempting to work - everything stops.

Stops.

If you have a hardwired telephone, you can still talk to someone. If there is also a cellphone, you can talk to 2 people simultaneously. If you are doing research on the internet, it stops.

If it is at night, you sleep. If it is in the evening, you can light an oil lamp and have the "amish" experience.

Yawn.

All I can say is:

Get used to it. Power comes - power goes. If you are on the "grid," you are subject to power loss.

Figure out if you are part of the problem or part of the solution.

What is the solution, you ask?

Well, that is part of the problem and we need to figure out why we have decided to be so dependent on power. Be powerful. Stop being part of the problem. Stop being dependent on something - someone - to deliver your power.

Stay safe.
