better. If one dept. is making too much money, they adjust so that the customer comes out ahead. Costco also buys products locally. But, if at all possible support your local farmer's markets and independent stores before buying at Costco. Paying a bit more makes your community better in the end. I know that I have too much stuff as it is, and that stuff and its packaging is really taking its toll on the environment. Better to buy used and enjoy what you already have. I am going to write to Costco to ask that Kirkland paper products contain some recycled paper.
