It was designed to be 100 megatons, but the bomb was altered for the test to reduce the yield by 50%.

Even at that size the flash was visible for 1000 kilometers,
the mushroom cloud rose 64 k,
there was complete destruction for a radius of 35 k,
it was able to cause 3rd degree burns for a radius of 100 k, and
houses were destroyed hundreds of k away from the blast area.
