Election Day And Flooding

If you're unable to get to your polling place because of flooding, you can cast a provisional ballot at any polling place. In King County, call 206-296-VOTE (8683) to locate polling places and for the latest information about weather-related problems. You also can go to: metrokc.gov/elections/

Officials advise that flooding of the Snoqualmie and Tolt rivers might affect voters in the Carnation, Fall City and Snoqualmie areas. The Snoqualmie Elementary polling place at 39801 S.E. Park St., Snoqualmie, has been closed. Voters will be routed to Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 S.E. Snoqualmie Parkway, Snoqualmie.Other polling places near the Snoqualmie and Tolt rivers: River View School Dist. Office, Carnation; Fall City Elementary; Fall City Fire Station District 27.

Polling places that aren't in danger of flooding but may have road-access issues: Stillwater Elementary, Carnation Vincent Community Club, Carnation.Nearby, alternative voting locations in the Snoqualmie Valley:South: Preston Community Club, 8625 310th Ave. S.E., Preston; Mount Si Senior Center; 411 Main Ave. S., North Bend; Sallal Grange Hall, 12912 432nd Ave. S.E., North Bend.North: Duvall Church, 15520 Main St., Duvall.West: Redmond Fire Station 14, 5021 264th Ave. N.E., Redmond; Timberlake Christian Fellowship, 4505 236th Ave. N.E., Sammamish; Beaver Lake Middle School, 25025 S.E. 32nd St., Issaquah; Challenger Elementary, 25200 S.E. Klahanie Blvd., Issaquah.

Provisional ballots: If you can't make it to your polling place today, you may cast a provisional ballot at any polling place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Voters also can call the Voter Hotline at 206-296-VOTE (8683) between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Voters are encouraged to use King County's online tool "Your Voter Guide" to create a sample ballot with the candidates and measures. Voters can download, print and take the sample ballot to their polling place and write in the race and candidate choices. Learn more at www.metrokc.gov/elections/pollingplace/voterlookup.aspx.
