111. How are the facts trying to spin it?
1) The Venezuelan embassy DID NOT notify anyone at JFK that the Foreign Minister was travelling through JFK
2) An international ticket was purchased with large amounts of cash half an hour before the flight, which automatically gets the SSSSS code on the boarding pass (or whatever it is now)
3) The person refused a secondary screening as required by the SSSS code.
4) The person grabbed for their belongings when told not to and then began using the cell phone when in a security area (both a no no)

Which of the above says this guy is okay, let him go through the line no problem?

How is a low-level security screener at JFK supposed to know what diplomatic credentials look like? That is why they have escorts for these people as they make their way through the airports, and these are provided upon request through the proper channels at with proper notification.

And how is this trying to spin in Bush's favor? This is merely showing that an arrogant prick tried to go through the security line at JFK and got detained. Then a demagogue uses this to make a big deal spouting off misinformation about them detaining him for being part of a coup attempt. I'm just calling the bullshit where it is.
