14. Who listens to talk radio
I think that is more the answer to this. Just because RW talk is more popular doesn't mean there are more RW's. In my experience, the people who listen to talk radio for long blocks are either retired or self employed or bosses. Most working people don't have the opportunity to listen to talk radio during the day. If you can listen to a radio at your job how many people put it on political programming?

As far as left slanted messages being failures tell it Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert.
