In fact, I'M FINISHED WITH BOTH AIR AMERICA AND XM if you guys don't hire him back. If this "firing" is true, then I'm done with both companies because our only reason for buying XM is Air America, and Mike Malloy is the big highlight of our weeknights in this family.

What we usually do is listen to Mike live off the XM satellite at 7PM, and then play the show a second time at 11 PM from your local affiliate KQKE in San Francisco so we can hear any segments we missed. If you lose serious, hard-core, affluent Air America listeners like my wife and me in markets like San Francisco, your advertising's going to dry up, and your network won't survive.

And that means those of you at the network responsible for this incredibly stupid and self-destructive decision will end up looking for new jobs, too, once advertisers like Volkswagen pull out. Christ almighty, we were planning to go look at new Jettas this weekend because of all the VW advertising we heard on Malloy's show. My wife says we're now going back to Saturn instead.

This is a sad, sad day for democracy in America if this is true because Air America Radio's brand promise is going to be destroyed, and the phenomenon will be finished. What stupid, boneheaded choices are you guys going to make next--are you going to get rid of Randi Rhodes as well?
