Is a little different from Lindsay Lohan. There are just as many poor girls from Oklahoma or Ohio or Peoria in LA trying to make it and some have are "talented" as you say Maurice was. Just as many of these poor girls lose their way in the maze of drugs and sex that is LA... in this case Lindsay Lohan, a child actress who has known nothing else is falling victim to the same temptations that your violent athlete is. Don't see much different there. There is also a similarity in that some of these girls and boys are forced into what some may compare to child labour when they are forced to auditions and criticized or beaten for their success or lack thereof. In sports this is akin to going out for the team. You read Sports Illustrated, and I read the Hollywood Reporter. People at DU need to realize that they don't get to spew their insecurities about women and their hatred for them while paying none of the same treatment to the male celebrities that grace the pages of the tabloids. My rant against Clarett was meant as SARCASM because frankly I believe these celebrities stand as a screen to project society on. I find a disparity between how the screen works when DU approaches some celebrities over others. Its pretty obvious IMHO, that Americans live vicariously through their celebrities, and DU should be a place that investigates this with a little less of a bias, don't you think?
