3. I wonder how many OTHER people had their land "re-assessed"

There are TONS of "farmers' who continue to receive money based on calling open land a "farm"..

Subsidies should go to actual farmers when they produce valid records that PROVE they have farmed/are farming the land...and it should only go to REAL farmers...not just wealthy folks who can afford to buy out actual farmers and who are planning to "sit on" the land and get subsidies until another rich guy comes along with enough money to buy them out and build houses..

Farm land is going away at an alarming rate as older farmers who succeeded too well, get old or die.. Successful farmers sent their own kids to college, and there are few college-educated professionals , in their 40's & 50's now, who want to (or even could) go back to farm dad's land..

The passing down from parent to child, of farm land is a thing of the past.. These days the 'grown kids can;t wait for the olders to pass away, so they can sell the dfarm and make big bucks... Towns have grown out to where the farms have been. so developers love to get their hands on this level, cleared land..
