she was arguing this is setting up, 'well Lieb only lost by 5-6 points so he can run as an independent'. But when you look at it in context of Lautenburg going further than any other prominent Democrat, you see that he's dipping his toe in the water and setting the stage for a stronger push. That's how the media's reading it, at least.
