We expect better out of a supposedly democratic state like Israel (Israeli Arabs' voting status aside), and expect nothing less than crimes from a confirmed terrorist group.

As far as "I do think Kerry could have done better", you're probably right, because he disagree with your war approach and supports police actions (as in, using police, not using military and calling it a 'police action').

And you're right on one thing - I should have been more precise and said that the Israeli military has *targeted* civilians before - which it has - to make my meaning clearer.
