It's not like he had a jumbo jet at his service to travel around the world. I think the people that need to believe in the inerrancy of the Bible actually have very shallow faith, so shallow that it can't deal with any part of the Bible not being literally true. One break from that, and their whole faith is gone, and that scares the shit out of them, so they fight back with this creationism crap.
