some crimes that are beyond the pale, and this is it. First and formost, as a parent, I want my child back alive. So I think punishment for assualt of a child should be up to life in prison no parole (depending on the severity of assualt). A case like this (ait tight) should be automatic death penality. I would want to do everything to insure my child comes back alive. We can deal with the psychological problems later. Recivitism in this population is so high and therefore stricter measures must be enforce to protect the general population.
