130. How was the Stimulus NOT about jobs?
I've heard that a lot of the ARRA stimulus went into projects that won't affect job creation until some later time frame; however, I've personally seen some stimulus-funded projects being undertaken for the last year -- and these kinds of projects don't build themselves: PEOPLE were getting paid to do them (i.e. JOBS). And if I understand my economics 101, when these people get paid for doing their JOBS, they spend their money on other goods and services, passing money along to those other PEOPLE, and so on. Money moving through the economy is a good thing. Maybe these stimulus-funded projects so far were more about SAVING jobs rather than CREATING them, but that is NO small achievement.
