Of course this idea, as minuscule and worthless as it is, won't really go anywhere. It will die in congress where, apparently, we need 100% of the seats to have a majority. Obama knows this too but doesn't care.

But your point about people who "can't do construction jobs" not benefiting from such a proposal overlooks this: Any large construction project will also need architects, engineers, designers and manufacturing plants. Well, at least they would if there were a "buy American" clause the same way EVERY OTHER COUNTRY has done with their various stimulus spending. But Obama has already shown his hand on this, so expect most or all of these ancillary jobs going overseas if something like this were passed.

But it's an academic argument anyway. Obama lets the GOP run things. He's a sock puppet.
