2. I flip away when a Republimoronsinglecorpuscle speaks
I'm not watching the debate at all today, but that's my usual strategy. Expecting rational discourse from Republicans is like expecting your dog to read a book.

4. I simply cannot believe the bullshit that is coming from the Pubbies.
Here is an outstanding example:

They are bitching that MDs do not see people on Medicaid. Ho - kay... so are the MDs then seeing people without ANY kind of coverage?

GMAFB...

7. Oh gawd, that was Coburn
I thought the same thing, is he bitchin' about medicaid, or that medicaid doesn't pay enough or just do away with it?? Okla. is at the bottom of most list when it comes to heath care and the health of the population, income, schools, the list is long.

There is a program in this State that does help those really in need. Don't know anything about it except I have heard of 2 people that got either City or State help with the cost of delivery of a child and infant care. One for sure had a very reputable Dr. and fairly sure the other Dr. wasn't bargin basement type. Often it seems important that you know how to work the system. That is a sad statement when it comes to health care.

6. Check this one out
I was watching the debate on C-SPAN this morning and here was the Republicans argument (forget which Senator maybe Vitter???). I'll paraphrase, 'If we have a public option then employers will have the choice to pay let's say $6100 per employee to private insurers or $750.00 per employee to the public option which do you think they will choose'. Now he had started from an 'anti-big government' stance so he said that would lead to single payer which he claimed would greatly expand the government bureaucracy, but is this guy an idiot or does he just not really think about the talking points he is given. He also said most people are 'fairly' happy with what they have in insurance. So, gee here is the rub do I want to get the government involved and cut my health insurance cost by almost 90% or do I want to stick with my fear of big government and pay $6100 per employee. I think the 90% drop in rates definitely trumps the big goverment fear and I think most employers whether Democrat or Republican would agree just for financial reasons.

9. They're pandering to their pimps, not their base.
Their base needs HCR just as much as we do.
