i wish i could turn off my damned brain sometimes
or at least that little pain in the ass part that keeps trying to read too much between the lines, looking for the negative shit that isn't there but tries to convince me that it is.

it got me so damn wound up and wired tonight that i haven't been able to sleep, couldn't even concentrate on a book. i'm calmed down now, but i still can't sleep.

i hate this

1. Agree. These things should come with an off switch and a manual.
Hope you get some rest!

3. For the last nine months or so, I wake up at 4 in the morning
with racing worries. Then, when it's really time to wake up, I'm dog tired.

My poor dog isn't getting her walks on time and the cats think I hate them because I'm so damn slow.

Have you tried melatonin? What does the doc say?

5. There is time-released melatonin -- works better. At healthfood stores.
It's not regulated and so, that's a drawback. On the other hand, drugs that ARE regulated are pimped by the FDA/BushCo.

Not getting the sleep you need is awful. Be good to you while you work this out.

Exactly what you described. Having a rather bad day of it today actually.

9. Sorry to hear that, shadow. I managed to get a few hours last night
but was pretty cranky this morning. All I need is five hours but they have to be in a row. :(
