1. I like it. Nice driving song.
You went for it on those leads there, didn't ya. Recording-wise, what was your philosophy? Play the lead once then play it again and lay it on top? Whatever it was, it made for an interesting effect when you ended up following yourself up that scale between about 3:00~3:06. That was neat.

You got any more?

2. Wow.
You totally got it!!! Good ear, and glad you like the song, I wrote all the parts. Yes. I was interested in creating a sonic "tail". Laying 2 leads that had very different sonic properties to create a third sound by playing some of the second lead a bit behind the first. That's what creates the "chimes" tone as the tail in that section. Page did a lot of cool layering stuff with Zep, and that's what gave me the idea to try this

They were both done with my customized strat. I used a modified 40 watt Marshall Valve amp on both leads also. I used a setup like Gilmour used on the older Floyd stuff for the fat wet lead, and a setup similar to Knopfler's on Sultans of Swing for the cleaner lead.

I wrote all the parts for this one also, no leads on this one, though, it's too easy to get accused of wanking nowadays. I play some more leads on songs on our cd, but don't want to put the whole disc on youtube.
