Poll question: Favorite DAW
Let the flames begin.

I use both Reaper and Orion. Reaper for freeform audio mixing and Orion for sequencing,

Note that I have no actual musical talent beyond having memorized the Circle of 5ths, but I have loved synths since I was a little kid.

1. I use Digital Performer for most stuff.
Also have Logic Express which I use from time to time for quick and dirty loop based things.

2. I'm using Reaper right now
I am learning the basics. I have the paid version and also bought a book. I have a lot to learn but it sure is fun.

5. PCAudioLabs...
...custom built audio recording PC, with Cakewalk Sonar Producer 8.5.

I'm currently recording electronic drums and percussion/acoustic percussion for an upcoming CD, and/or digital download, supposedly coming soon.

We'll see about that...

7. No Cakewalk either ?
Edited on Sat Aug-20-11 03:19 AM by Trajan
I am running SONAR X1c Producer .... It is a fully complemented DAW with quality effects and synths .... It records both MIDI and audio simultaneously, and has built in looping capability (Acidized clips) ...

One caveat .... I still prefer SONAR 8.5, and would have rather seen SONAR 9.0 than SONAR X1 .... Cakewalk is fully aware of the discontent of users, and is trying to fix the 'problems' of X1 .... Version C does fix a few bugs, but overall ... SONAR has always been an easy tool for creating music .... Cubase has always been weirdly organized (for me) and ProTools is simply out of my price range ...

Never tried the others .... I have been a Cakewalk user since Pro Audio 7XL; almost 15 years ....

For the record: I am running XP64 on a Q6600 Quad Core at 2.4GHz with 8GB 800MHz RAM with a 2TB RAID ... M-Audio Delta 66 audio card connected to a TASCAM DM24 Digital Mixer and through Behringer B2031 powered monitors .... The setup kicks ass, but I do want to upgrade to a newer MB and uP and RAM

Some screenshots:

Some of the synths:

Lots more ....
