The above is an interactive map of all of the homicides in Philadelphia in 2007.

You can see concentrations in the western and southwestern parts of West Phila, the southwestern part of South Phila., west of Broad St. in Northcentral Phila, and Kensington. You can also see pockets with very few murders - such as Manyunk, Roxborough, University City, Center City, most of Northeast Phila and the Italian parts of South Phila.

The map also links to aerial photos and to photos of some of the victims.

A previous Phila Inquirer study found that a very high percentage of homicide victims in Phila. had criminal records.
