What was she thinking?

to get us to attack and vilify our own, mainly our rookies, weakening and discouraging them.

Whoever issued the orders was a little obvious today.

Even I am tired of this fight, but for those not yet bored to death of it, I give you....

5. At least someone is fighting.
Maybe instead of complaining about issues being said over, and over again, tuck your tail like the other "converters" and join the GOP. There are many people out here that have no clue as to what is going on. I would think that by bringing to light what is going on, that this would strengthen the numbers and unify our dwindling group. Someone needs to do something, even if it discussing the same issues. At least they are not being ignored, like some want them to be.

And telling me to go join the GOP is the rudest thing!!
Without stooping to profanity I can tell you you are talking to the WRONG person. And welcome to DU.

Dean 4 DNC = 2006 majority = Bush in the penitentiary.

9. Dwindling numbers?
What dwindling numbers?
The rest of it aside...by what criteria and what data do you argue that our numbers are dwindling?

10. Sorry...
I am sorry for the GOP comment. I am fed up with what is going on,and feel that change will not happen soon enough. I speak with people daily and it agitates me that they have not one clue as to what is going on. It does get old hearing the same thing over and over again, but it needs to be said until the idiots that missed it the first 500 times it was said, might catch on.
As far as the numbers look at the last election. Again I am sorry.

D.

11. No worries, thank you.
We need to stick together! I am working here on clean election bill (campaign finance reform, the key to all other reform) and a paper trail bill. I find the introduction of electronic voting under our repub governor (shudder) just completely horrifying.
I agree with your feeling that we need to encourage our rookies AND vets in the senate and house to reject this criminal admin, but I know there is a push from the right to manipulate us into harming them now. I have seen and read and heard it and I know they are trying a very old and very sucessful ploy, divide and conquer.
Thanks again for writing back. Si se puede baby!

6. Dissappointed but not surprised.

I'm glad for all of those who DID vote against Condoleeza. It's actually quite a statement that so many stood up to actually represent their constituents. She received the strongest Senate opposition to a nominee for the job in 180 years! That's a start.

The only strategy I can come up with for the Yea votes is a "pick your battles carefully" one. Supreme Court nominations will be forthcoming and Condaleeza was going to get the job anyway. It's discouraging but it's politics.

7. Maybe she didn't sell out. Maybe ...
Mary realizes that a NO vote would have done little good and that Condi will do as awful a job as SOS as she did as shrub's National Security Advisor.

Perhaps Mary's strategy is to bring down the repugs by allowing them to fail so spectacularly. Who knows?

Or maybe there's something wacky in the state's drinking water that has made some formerly sane women go off the deep end. :tinfoilhat:
