Who here has seen the movie Once |
|
Just watched it last night. I had heard a lot about it when it was in theaters. Charming little movie. Especially if you're a music fan. Just really heartwarming stuff I thought.
Anyone else?

1. Loved it, loved it, loved it. |

One of my favorites from the last year. I posted a thread about it a couple of weeks ago. Great soundtrack.

2. My brother put it on during the holidays |

I left the room about halfway through. I didn't like the music and couldn't take one more song. The acting was good and the story line was interesting but the music just grated on my nerves. You need to qualify that if your an acoustic/folk music fan you would like it.

I'm not an acoustic/folk fan in the slightest. I'm a punk fan and a metal fan and an indie rock fan but not a folk fan in the slightest. I can see if you didn't like the music not liking the movie since that was an integral part of it. But I'm not sure it's specific to folk/acoustic music.

4. You said music fan, which I am and still didn't like the movie |
|
I thought it was too broad, thats all. Out of the 5 people that were watching it I was the only one that didn't like it. I'm sure I'll be in the minority.

Maybe I meant a musician (maybe you're that too). But to me it was more than simply the style of music or the songs it was the passion and inspiration involved in the creative process and the missed opportunities and second chances involved in "making it" and all that which I related to as much as it was enjoying listening to music.
