33. I don't think so. After all,
every judge in the hemisphere would be on my side. Fortunately, I'm generally pretty good at ejecting stuck songs from my head, so you're currently in no peril at all :)

Has there ever been a better sounding harmonica part in a TV theme song? Don't bother looking it up, I already checked for you, and there hasn't.

I love the different answering machine recording every episode... it was the ancestor "The Simpsons" changing their opening montage every week. :-)

I'm a sucker for poppy TV theme songs that turn up on the radio once in a while. Welcome Back Kotter too...

Funny, once they went from TV to radio; nowadays they get pulled from radio for a TV theme.

Actually, the bar-none greatest TV them is SWAT.

- The show may not have been great (although I think it was good in a way as a show for kids) but come on! you can't beat that opening theme. :)

Other favorites of mine:

MASH
Star Trek
All in the Family

(As a kid I made a cassette, remember those, of a bunch of TV themes

29. Super Chicken!
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 02:14 PM by Oeditpus Rex
When you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a lickin'
(Buk-buk-buk-buk)
There is someone waiting
who will hurry up and rescue you
Just caaAAALL for Super Chicken
(Buk-GAAA!)

But if you're afraid you'll have to overlook it
Because you knew the job was dangerous when you took it
(Buk-buk-buk-buk)

He will drink his Super Sauce
and throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin'
(Buk-buk-buk-buk)
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
CaaAAALL for Super Chicken
(Buk-buk-buk-buk)
CaaAAALL for Super Chicken
(Buk-GAAA!)

34. All in the Family
Those Were the Days....

Boy, the way Glen Miller played. Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us, we had it made. Those were the days.
Didn't need no welfare state. Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee, our old LaSalle ran great. Those were the days.
And you know who you were then, girls were girls and men were men.
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.
People seemed to be content. Fifty dollars paid the rent.
Freaks were in a circus tent. Those were the days.
Take a little Sunday spin, go to watch the Dodgers win.
Have yourself a dandy day that cost you under a fin.
Hair was short and skirts were long. Kate Smith really sold a song.
I don't know just what went wrong. Those Were The Days.

all kick ass. I used to love to shake my booty to the Barney Miller theme when I was a little kid...ah, memories!

And I also love the closing theme of "The Incredible Hulk" and the opening and closing themes of "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" (child of the 80's, I am!) :-)
