if once BS is a dem again.. he bashes our party throughout this primary like he has for the last 2 years.. Starting in Nov 2016 right after the rigging in of trump.. when he went on CNN and called us the "party of the elite.. and how "humiliated he was".

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Except the other candidates are members of the Democratic Party Trumpocalypse Feb 2019 #71
Riiiighht... yeah, no one running for president has an ego, except for Bernie. InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #73

I don't trust him not to run as an independent in the general. Where are his tax returns? wasupaloopa Feb 2019 #3
Did he do this last time? jalan48 Feb 2019 #7
He did not conceed until very late. My guess is that he was thinking of doing it. wasupaloopa Feb 2019 #17
But he didn't do it. jalan48 Feb 2019 #19
All that says is he didn't do it in 2016. wasupaloopa Feb 2019 #38
I don't think he will given his past history and the fact that he's made no statement jalan48 Feb 2019 #42
Here is the thing that gets me concerning Bernie. wasupaloopa Feb 2019 #48
I like Bernie's speeches for the most part. To me, that's the point of the primaries, flush out jalan48 Feb 2019 #51
We are electing a president not a speach writer. wasupaloopa Feb 2019 #109
Really? jalan48 Feb 2019 #110
Yes, the same issues adopted by others from Bernie that he's been advocating for a long time... InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #77
I'd thank him for not running. He is uniquely divisive. He knows it. CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #4
He is what he is. I don't find him divisive myself. jalan48 Feb 2019 #10
You're absolutely right, of course. Cha Feb 2019 #30
I like Bernie but I think he is getting too old. He will be going on 80 in 2020. walkingman Feb 2019 #5
That's fine. Everyone is free to vote as they choose. jalan48 Feb 2019 #9
Why the ageism? Bernie has more energy than any primary candidate currently running... InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #81
I do not think it is ageism - I think it is reality. I agree with Bernie on most things but walkingman Feb 2019 #106
He will have to affirm in writing that he is a member of the Democratic Party lapucelle Feb 2019 #13
Yes, I believe this is true. I assume he will do this. jalan48 Feb 2019 #16
Absolutely, but that won't be good enough... you know that, right? InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #80
The requirement is to have it signed on announcement. CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #21
Well, do we want Bernie running as an Independent? That's really the question. jalan48 Feb 2019 #22
Do you know for a fact that he hasn't signed it? Autumn Feb 2019 #27
You'd think he might mention it, if he had. CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #28
If you are bothered by it you should ask the DNC if he has. You might get lucky and Autumn Feb 2019 #34
You got that right. Cha Feb 2019 #32
Does this mean Bernie's disqualified?! That would make it the shortest campaign on record!! InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #82
It looks like it is over for Senator Sanders. Unless the DNC gives him a "tardy" excuse. CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #85
Oh well, Bernie had a good two-day run... was fun while it lasted!! InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #86
An affirmation which, I suspect would be similar in nature aka-chmeee Feb 2019 #33
Bernie could be like Ralph Nader? Like in 2000? In Florida? tinrobot Feb 2019 #23
He could. Allowing him to run as a Dem lessens that chance. He can get his message out and jalan48 Feb 2019 #24
How did that work out last time? CrossingTheRubicon Feb 2019 #29
How did what work out? jalan48 Feb 2019 #31

Does anyone know if he sent his affidavit to Chairman Tom Perez yet? The affidavit.... George II Feb 2019 #39
We shall see. My point is that it's better he run as a Democrat than as a Third Party candidate. jalan48 Feb 2019 #43
It's not a question of "we shall see"..... George II Feb 2019 #44
Do you know definitively, right now, that he has or hasn't signed the necessary documentation? jalan48 Feb 2019 #45
None of our candidates have signed and certified yet. The DNC will be giving the campaigns the Autumn Feb 2019 #46

LOL, there you go again Autumn... must you ALWAYS stick to the facts when it comes to Bernie?! InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #87
No I don't, but I DO know "definitively" that he hasn't complied with the first part.... George II Feb 2019 #49
I think Autumn answered your question. jalan48 Feb 2019 #53
No she didn't. All the other candidates already affirmed publicly that they are Democrats.... George II Feb 2019 #54
Well, I don't know what to tell you George. I'm not going to lose sleep over it because I know we jalan48 Feb 2019 #55

Should we thank every other candidate for not running as a 3rd party candidate? Garrett78 Feb 2019 #59
Because he has such a large following he could, if he wanted, play the spoiler. I don't know of any jalan48 Feb 2019 #61
Any of our candidates running as a 3rd party candidate would have a spoiler effect. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #63
Yes, I guess a Democrat could lose the primary and then run as an independent in the general. jalan48 Feb 2019 #65
There's debating positions and who is most fit to be POTUS. And then there's generic party-bashing. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #66
I'm excited to see how the debates go. I think including Bernie in the primary is a good thing for jalan48 Feb 2019 #67
That's fine, but you're evading my point. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #68
I think bashing is in the eye of the beholder. Bernie has millions of supporters and I don't jalan48 Feb 2019 #69
There is a distinct difference between debating competitors for the nomination... Garrett78 Feb 2019 #72
The Democratic Party doesn't seem to share your concerns about Bernie bashing it. jalan48 Feb 2019 #74
The DNC knows that preventing him from running would be a PR nightmare. Garrett78 Feb 2019 #75
Glad to hear your opinion. Thanks jalan48 Feb 2019 #76
Lieberman did the equivalent of this on the State level in Connecticut Tom Rinaldo Feb 2019 #105
Yeah, we'll see Cha Feb 2019 #78
I agree, no "thank you" should be necessary for doing something Bernie would never even consider. InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #89
well, as LBJ would say, shanny Feb 2019 #60
Yep, I have a feeling the Democratic Party leadership knows this and is working to include him. jalan48 Feb 2019 #62
I agree. shanny Feb 2019 #64
Without a doubt! And consider all the new, young progressive voters Bernie brings to the party... InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #84
I really like AOC.She's not afraid to talk about what she sees going on in the halls of Congress. jalan48 Feb 2019 #90
OMG yesss!! Love AOC... now there's a future presidential candidate who will CRUSH the opposition. InAbLuEsTaTe Feb 2019 #91
I totally agree. jalan48 Feb 2019 #92
Spot on. I agree. KPN Feb 2019 #100

How is this consistent with oath that sanders was suppose to swear to??? Gothmog Mar 2019 #116
I don't know. Have you contacted the Party about this? jalan48 Mar 2019 #117
Has sanders signed the required oath yet? Gothmog Mar 2019 #118
Yes. My guess is they don't want him to run as an independent. jalan48 Mar 2019 #119
It was given to him but he had 7 days to sign Gothmog Mar 2019 #120
It is almost as if a candidate has put the D party into a real tough spot. Eliot Rosewater Mar 2019 #128
It takes a ton of money to run as as indie Gothmog Mar 2019 #121
I'm sure the Party will do the right thing. jalan48 Mar 2019 #122
I may have a different idea as to what the right thing is Gothmog Mar 2019 #123
NPR-Bernie Sanders has filed to run for Senate in 2024 -- as an independent Gothmog Mar 2019 #125
This should be interesting. If he really wants to disrupt the Party he would run as an independent. jalan48 Mar 2019 #126
That would kill his book sales Gothmog Mar 2019 #132
Au Contraire. A Third Party Run would make for really big book sales. jalan48 Mar 2019 #133
