(32,640 posts)Yes, they wanted to hear an answer to what he would DO about growing violence from White supremacist groups, and not a brush off, from someone who didn't want to talk about it, or couldn't.
His answer was "real" but it wasn't an answer to the question being asked.
One basic, easy, no brainer answer would have been. "I will restore and fully fund the Homeland Security Domestic Terrorism unit that Trump disbanded."
That's a bit more concrete than "leading by example" don't you think?
Why do you think that he couldn't have even said that? He clearly either didn't want to answer the question or couldn't, so he rambled on about something that did not address white supremacy and their growing violence at all.
He failed to answer the question, and clearly hadn't done even a small bit of research on a topic that anyone could predict would be asked about.
Blaming the crowd for informing him that he had not answered the question doesn't show much respect for the audience.
