Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: As we turn to the Fall campaign, who is Biden's choice for VP? [View all]be my top choice if she had more experience beyond the state house. I feel like someone in their upper 70s needs to select a 2nd that nobody can cast any doubt on their readiness to step into the job. Otherwise it's going to be a point of attack.
That's why I think Kamala is a better choice, although that's certainly something to have a discussion about. I believe in reagionality when it comes to politics and I think a VP choice from Georgia would help not only there but in Florida and NC too. I'd love to be able to get a VP who knows how to cook a mean Sweet Potato Pie. By that I mean changes to demographics have opened up a potential for a democratic "Southern Strategy", but I think you need a native southerner to help make that happen. Abrams could be able to do that.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
