7. what a horrible post. are you really trying to promote sanders as our party's trump??

first, donnie is not someone who "understood the mood of the electorate". what he understood was that cheating was acceptable for republicans, lying was acceptable for republicans, and that the media would promote him as long as he provided them with shock/hate entertainment. this largely because a sizable minority of the country had been brainwashed and primed for that sort of thing.

second, a party and that party's *establishment* are not the same thing, something that sanders recently noted, and a distinction that his critics have blurred in order to attack him. the gop establishment did *not* want donnie to be the nominee, only in part because they thought he might lose the general election (which, face it, he would have if he hadn't cheated), but also because the *establishment* would lose out even if donnie won.

in fact, the gop *establishment*, or what was the establishment before donnie took over, is largely sidelined and cowering in fear. yeah, there's a republican in the party, but he's a monster they can't control, which is not at all what the gop *establishment* wanted.


finally, i really don't think you want to draw any parallels here with sanders. i don't think that benefits anyone at all, least of all sanders.
