in 2009-2010 when the ACA was being worked on. For months, she and others covered how Obamacare could have been better, had it not been for "ConservaDems" who, one after the other, raised objections and watered things down.
Terms like Establishment Dem, ConservaDem, BlueDog Democrat, corporatists, etc aren't always used as insults. It's just identifying someone's ideology. Same as calling someone a "liberal" Democrat, "progressive" or "left-wing".
Maybe it's the listener/reader who shouldn't always take things as an insult, or go looking for an insult where none is present.
If I were to vote in a presidential
