(7,261 posts)I get it that you don't blame Obama or Biden for the refusal of repukes to work with them.
What makes you think Biden has now found the magic formula for getting them to compromise on our legislation? If he's indicated he has any plans to do something different than he did when he was VP I'd love to hear it.
I'm skeptical that the same approaches of the last 40 years (go along to get along) are going to work now anymore than they have in the past. Doing the same things and expecting different outcomes is ludicrous.
We need *strong* *bold* ideas and strategies. I listened to an interview Sanders did where he was asked how he would make an (R) Senate work with him. He said he'd take the fight directly to McConnell's home state, asking Dems and Repubs alike to camp out on his street and put the pressure on. This is the type of aggressive thinking we are going to need if we are going to save our country.
Status quo is our downfall.
