Democratic Primaries

(22,912 posts)Part of the answer might involve asking a different question. Are only self identified progressives drawn to Sanders? One thing that has interested me is some polling data that indicates a significant number (I didn't say majority, just significant) of Biden supporters in Iowa for instance, back Sanders as their second choice. There may be "positive" reasons for that, such as the fact that Sanders has been consistent in his views for decades or that he so strongly identifies himself with the working class, or "negative" reasons for that, such as some voters maybe feeling more comfortable with male potential leaders.
I like Warren a lot and wanted her to run in 2016. I was backing her here until a few weeks ago and I can see myself possibly going back to supporting her over Sanders. I need a clearer sense of what type coalition each of them is capable of pulling together to win the presidency. That is what I am now focused on.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
